The Landesman Palace is located in the urban-protected part of Vukovar, at Vladimira Nazor Street 3. It was built in 1892 for the Landesmann family in the neo-Renaissance style and has the status of a protected cultural asset. At the beginning of the century, the palace was rented by the state post office, later it housed various public services. During the Homeland War, the palace was almost completely destroyed, as well as the courtyard building that served as ancillary facilities (boiler room, garage and janitor's apartment) and which had to be demolished due to damage. The street building was reconstructed, a new facade was built, with all decorative elements returned, as well as elements of manufactured plastic, and a courtyard building with which the palace is physically connected was added. Today, the buildings serve as office and auxiliary space of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute. The simple, elongated street facade is articulated with narrow rectangular window openings, which are separated by lozenges in groups of two and three, and there is also a wide semi-circular portal on the ground floor. The courtyard facade is open in the central part with wide arches, and in the final part with narrow rectangular window openings.
In 2006 and 2007, the Landesman Palace, which was renovated as part of the renovation of cultural monuments and public buildings in Vukovar, underwent reconstruction, additions, decoration and furnishing of the office space of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute of the Regional Service in Vukovar in accordance with the rules of conservation restoration profession.
