The core of the building complex is a medieval town surrounded by a moat, which was rebuilt and upgraded into a representative castle in the second half of the 18th and the first half of the 19th centuriy. It consists of a cylindrical medieval tower, a Gothic chapel and a castle.
As part of the renovation project of the Normann-Prandau complex, the restoration of the foundations and the restoration of the vaults of the chapel and its interior decoration were carried out. This was followed by the interior decoration of the castle with the renovation of the old and the creation of new exterior and interior carpentry according to the existing samples. The interior spaces of the castle have been arranged for the needs of the modern user, the Museum of the City of Valpovo.
