The spas in Lipik began to develop significantly in the second half of the 18th century. Spa architecture was created at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. Among all the buildings, the famous Kursalon stands out, the symbol of Lipik, built in 1893. The neoclassical building with a large entrance area and a cinema hall with painted walls is the central catering facility embedded in a well-kept park.
As part of the rehabilitation and revitalization project of the Lipik Spa, which was damaged and devastated in the war, a closed protective structure in the form of a tent was made that covers the entire building and enables restoration and conservation work to take place smoothly in all weather conditions. The tent structure is made of heavy load-bearing scaffolding, more than 75,000 kg of steel structure, 3,000 sqm of sheet metal and a special synthetic sheath.
